Enjoy the mountain summer in Gries im Sellrain!

Gries im Sellrain is located amidst the Sellraintal valley, 25km west of Innsbruck. Hospitality, traditions, relaxation and nature make Gries a perfect holiday destination. It is an ideal base for many hikes ranging from leisurely walks to demanding mountaineering tours.

The Kneipp facilities are a real treat; a tennis court, a playground and a beach volleyball court are also available. Inns and restaurants invite for a tasty meal and at Hubert's you can buy a snack for your hike. At the hairdresser you'll get beautified according to the latest trends. Enjoy your time in Gries!

HIKING TIP: Hike to the Juifenalm (2020m)

Next to good plain cooking the Juifenalm also offers a stunning view from the Zischgeles mountian to the Freihut mountain and the Sonnberg mountain.

Starting in Gries you walk along trail no. 1 or via Narötz and trail no. 24 to Juifenau (30min, easy). From there you have to ascend along a forestry track to the Juifenalm (1.5h, easy).

You can reach the following peaks from there:
Windegg (2577m): approx. 2h, medium
Roter Kogel (2832m): 3.5h, medium
