The new "Mutterer Alm" ski area with its top-modern infrastructure is especially suitable for families and beginners. Free ski busses operates between Mutters and the Axamer Lizum ski area which caters to advanced and experienced skiers.
The region is also popular with ski mountaineers and there are 30km of beautiful cross-country skiing tracks and some cleared footpaths for romantic winter walks (nightly lanterna walks), three natural toboggan tracks (moonlight sledding) and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

In only 3 months, a new 8-seater gondola from Götzens (950 m) to Priemesköpfl (1,800 m) via the middle station just above the Götzens farms was built. This project finishes the re-design plan for Muttereralm ski area. There is now a challenging downhill run for advanced skiers as well as the already existing pistes for beginners. The slope area has doubled!Almost 100% of the pistes have snow-making facilities. All the way from the mountain top to the valley, you will wind perfectly prepared pistes.
New t-bar lift in the Almboden area and a magic carpet lift in Götzens!
Large car parks in Mutters and Götzens!
At the base terminal of the new Götzens lift, there is also a ski school, a ski rental shop, a sef-service restaurant, and a cafe-bar.
All Muttereralm ski passes are valid for the Götzens lifts too.
