Axams has a long and old tradition in cribs and is one of the most important “cribs-villages” in Tyrol. Especially in Christmastime (24^th December – 2^nd February) there are about 40 cribs on exhibition.

The most famous and precious cribs are presented at the church, the chapel “Lindenkapelle” and the municipal office of Axams. On request it is also possible to visit the wonderful private exhibits, organized in little, guided groups. Specific interest and special attraction belongs thereby to the crib construction and the carved and painted figures.
