Time and again guests to Birgitz are surprised at how close our village is to the city. A mere fifteen minute drive and Innsbruck is not only far behind you, but far beneath you too! Suddenly your eyes are sweeping over lush fields and meadows.

Birgitz, a tiny hamlet on this vast plateau, is home to a myriad of old farmhouses, one more picturesque than the other; the  village well gently trickles away and a charming little church still forms the centre of this picture-book community.
