Ellbögen, therefore, is the perfect place for a stopover on your way south. 

The area around Ellbögen is a haven for backcountry skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts, and the ski areas of the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck are also easy to reach with the free ski bus.
