Not without my skis

The complimentary ski bus is available every day to take guests from Ellbögen to the nearby ski areas of the Olympia SkiWorld. Innsbruck’s landmark mountain, for example, the Patscherkofel, is just a few kilometres away. The Olympia-Express chairlift, the Patscherkoflbahn cable-car and numerous other lift facilities ensure that skiers can enjoy their day on the slopes without the tedium of long queuing.

With a range of slopes to suit every ability, the Snow Park for beginners, the large, well-supervised “Kinderland” kids’ area and floodlights for night skiing, the ski area has everything to fulfil the wishes of ski fans young and old, from novices to experts.

Deep powder snow, a glistening winter wonderland, cloudless blue sky and footprints left by rabbits and deer – equipped with snowshoes, we head off to explore this pristine wilderness. A breathtaking winter experience to which we warmly invite guests staying in Ellbögen. The crystal-clear air and the unbelievable silence create an air of romance and magic. Our agenda of activities also, however, includes winter walks without snowshoes.

An evening’s tobogganing can be a romantic affair – and a really fun one too! We invite our guests to enjoy an evening of tobogganing fun suitable for the whole family – toboggan rental included. Twice a week guests can take the free shuttle bus to the floodlit toboggan run in Rinn. What could be more romantic then riding down into the valley under the starry sky?

For those who like a spot of action and adventure, the nearby Olympic bobsleigh and luge track in Igls is an attraction not to be missed. Special visitors’ bobsleighs enable guests to experience the thrill of hurtling down the ice track at an exhilarating speed accompanied, of course, by an experienced pilot.
