Gay bars and clubs in Innsbruck

Over the years, the city of Innsbruck has become home to a lively lesbian and gay scene.

Enhancing the colourful spectrum of clubs, bars and parties is a small but select array of cultural offerings with a lesbian-gay background, as well as a considerable number of lesbian-gay associations. What distinguishes Innsbruck, however, is its rich combination of culture and nature. Many of the associations organise regular lesbian-gay hiking tours, and more and more tourism services and facilities are identifying themselves as being explicitly gay and lesbian friendly. 

Just two hours from Munich with its „big-city“ lesbian-gay scene, Innsbruck enjoys a central location between the Bavarian capital, Salzburg, Bolzano and Vorarlberg. Accordingly, it has a wide-ranging lesbian-gay culture and diversity. During the winter months, many lesbian and gay guests spending a holiday in the Tyrolean ski resorts pay a visit to the region’s capital to enjoy its cultural and culinary attractions.
