In 1599, Bartlme Grassmayr cast his very first bell in Tyrol. The expertise of Grassmayr Bell Foundry and the secret of bell construction ("ribbing”) have been carefully guarded every since - continually improved upon through scientific research, and successively handed down from father to son – a tradition preserved for more than 14 generations.

In addition to casting new bells, Grassmayr Bell Foundry has specialized in restoring historical bells and manufacturing a complete line of technical accessories and equipment for bell ringing systems.Every day at 5:00 PM, in a very beautiful spot of Tyrol, in Telfs / Mösern, one of the largest bells tolls for good neighbourly relations in the alpine countries

The Bell Museum is a unique combination of bell foundry, bell museum and a sound room. On the basis of past experience, we are certain you will consider your visit a genuine adventure. We recommend allowing yourself approximately one hour for your visit.
