A Crystal of many colors and facets
For many years, SWAROVSKI INNSBRUCK has been a sparkling attraction in the center of the old town that surrounds Innsbruck's Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof).
Since the summer of 2011, after being completely redesigned, SWAROVSKI INNSBRUCK shines brighter than ever as a luminous modern shopping landscape that combines centuries-old structural elements, some of which date as far as the Gothic period and with installations by major contemporary artists. Tyrolean artist Thomas Feuerstein’s three-part series IM FACETTENREICH (In the Realm of Many Facets) is located directly in the entrance foyer and comprises pieces entitled SUPERFLY, PHANTOM, and PARS PRO TOTO. Using the fruit fly as a motif, the artist intertwines art and science in an aesthetic portrayal of the world’s complexity. With Erwin Redl’s audiovisual installation CRYSTAL MATRIX, SWAROVSKI INNSBRUCK now also has its very own Chamber of Wonder. More innovations inspired by and made from crystal can be found on both floors. Only the most attentive observer will notice the fascinating crystal creations from over one hundred years of crystal history that are concealed within the Mirrored Wall in the entrance foyer. The Crystal Stairs and the “Cascade” chandelier by Vincent van Duysen are further highlights at SWAROVSKI INNSBRUCK. A sparkling refreshment can be enjoyed in the stylish surroundings of the 1st Floor ART SPACE following, or perhaps in anticipation of, your shopping experience. THE BAR offers a special selection of quality wines from Gernot Langes Swarovski’s Argentinean winery, Bodega Norton.
