Schlick 2000

Schlick 2000 is synonymous with all that is “in vogue” in the realm of winter sports.

Here, in the Stubaital valley, you can not only ski, carve and snowboard to your heart’s content, you can also toboggan, cross-country ski, hike, paraglide… The Stubai Ski School’s “Kinderland” kids area is a favourite with guests, both young and old. Little ones from the age of 3 months are well looked after here and, those who can already walk, can take their first “skiing steps”. The UdSSR – that is the Union of Stubai Snowboarders – is in charge of looking after the Funpark on the Schlick 2000’s Sennjoch slopes. The area also hosts the renowned “powder days” several times a year. And there’s no better way to round off a hard day on the slopes than with a drink in the “Schlussliacht” après-ski bar.

Opening times winter season 2011/12: End of November until the end of April
Cable-cars and lifts: 6-seater cable-car, 4-seater chairlift, 5 drag tows, baby lift, Ronny’s button lift
Slopes and ski runs: 22 km of pistes - 13.5 km easy, 7.5 km intermediate, 1 km advanced
Snowpark: A venue for contests, the funpark offers endless backcountry powder with steep gullies, cliff drops, cornices and plenty spots for shaping kickers
