The state-of-the-art eight-seater cable-car takes you from the centre of Götzens up and over the mountain farms to the middle-station at an altitude of 1,200 metres, and then on to the Pfriemesköpfl ski area at an elevation of 1,800 metres. Snow-making facilities on the down-hill run, (which, incidentally, served as the substitute run during the Winter Olympics of 1964 and 1976), ensure perfect skiing conditions. With a button tow lift near the Almboden area and a “magic carpet” lift near the Götzner base station for our very youngest skiers, the Muttereralm certainly lives up to its reputation as a ski area perfect for the whole family.

The café/bar Café-Bar "Leuchtturm" at the base station of the Götzner Bahn cable car offer a warm, welcoming atmosphere for a relaxing get-together away from the slopes. The village’s wide-ranging services also include a ski school and a ski rental shop.

Those who enjoy the elegance of ice-skating will love the ice sports centre in Götzens. The roofed ice rink provides hours of skating fun no matter what the weather.
