Hiking and Nordic Walking
Igls, Patsch and Ellbögen boast a vast network of walking and hiking trails. Among the most scenic is the Zirbenweg trail which, in turn, forms part of the Tyrolean “Adlerweg” (Eagle’s Trail). This breathtaking walk with only slight elevation changes, leads from the Patscherkofel mountain to the Glungezer mountain, crossing a unique protected area of outstanding natural beauty.
If you’ve always wanted to master the correct Nordic walking technique, then Igls is the perfect place to do so. The Running and Nordic Walking Competence Centre here in Igls-Lans has twelve different routes covering a total distance of 70 kilometres. With a choice to suit all ability levels, the routes are perfect for gentle running and Nordic walking.
All guests with the Club Innsbruck Member Card can take part in guided hiking and Nordic walking tours free of charge.
