Winter Holidays in Igls

History was made on the Patscherkofel mountain when the Winter Olympics downhill events were held there in both 1964 and 1976. The immaculately groomed slopes as well as the new, wider family run, make this area ideal for skiers of all abilities. With the Sunny Kids Park, there’s something even for the littlest ones. The area boasts a total of 20 kilometres of slopes and 8 lift facilities. The stunning panoramic views of the Inn Valley, the Stubaital and Wipptal valleys and a plethora of 3,000-metre peaks are all part and parcel of the Patscherkofel experience. And if, after a long day’s skiing, you still haven’t had enough, you can grab the chance twice a week of a spot of night-time skiing on the brightly floodlit slopes.

Igls has many other fantastic activities on offers during the cold months of the year including winter walks and hikes through the magical, snow-covered landscape, ice-skating, Alpine-style curling, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and lots more besides.

With bogleigh or luge

The bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track is of Olympic proportions and is still a regular venue for international competitions.

Arts and Culture Winter

Arts and culture first hand: Igler art in Advent, Christmas and New Year's Eve fireworks mountain in the Kurpark, Tyrolean evening and much more.
