Winter Holidays in Igls, Patsch and Ellbögen
A magical winter full of adventure
History was made on Patscherkofel when the Winter Olympics downhill events were held there in both 1964 and 1976. The immaculately groomed slopes include also a family run, making this area ideal for skiers of all abilities. With the Sunny Kids Park, there's something even for the littlest ones.
New this winter season: Weltcup Section, perfectly positioned and wide - a real treat.
The area boasts a total of 20 kilometres of slopes and 9 lift facilities. The stunning panoramic views of the Inn valley, the Stubaital and Wipptal valleys and a chain of 3,000-metre peaks are all part and parcel of the Patscherkofel experience. And to fit in even more hours of fun in the snow, there's night-time skiing on the brightly floodlit slopes twice a week.
Snowshoe hikers come across the fresh tracks of deer and hares as they explore a glittering winter landscape, covered in deep snow beneath a clear blue sky. No snowshoes are required for the glorious, guided winter walks on a network of cleared paths that criss-cross the vast, glistening plateau and are part of the magical winter experience at Igls, Patsch and Ellbögen.
A thrilling experience of Olympic proportions awaits adventure seekers at the nearby Igls bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track. Accompanied by a pro, of course, they tear down the ice track at full speed in a visitor bobsleigh.
