Opening Hours

The tour starts at the Tirol Panorama Museum on Bergisel. The museum opened in 2011 and is home to a Giant Panoramic Painting, which portrays the Third Battle of Bergisel on 13 August 1809, as well as stunning views of Innsbruck. The painting covers a 1,000 m² canvas and is one of few remaining panoramas from the 19th century.

After visiting the museum, you’ll walk past the Tyrolean Imperial Infantry’s former shooting huts and the statue of freedom fighter Andreas Hofer to the modern ski jump by Zaha Hadid (2003). The jump is still considered the most modern ski jump in Europe and features a viewing platform with breathtaking views of the stadium, the city and the Nordkette mountain range.
