Experience Kühtai

But as far as winter sport resorts go, Kühtai is simply unbeatable: a choice of 33 slopes covering 44 kilometres in total, an 8-seater cable car, four chairlifts, six drag tows and a “magic carpet”. And at this altitude you certainly don’t have to worry about the mood swings of the weather gods – snow is guaranteed from December until well into spring.

During the summer months, the picturesque little village surrounded by majestic 3,000-metre peaks, is perfect for hiking, climbing and mountain biking. It offers, quite literally, the “height” of enjoyment with breathtaking panoramic vistas, a choice of restful Alpine solitude or convivial get-togethers in the mountain huts, and a superb network of hiking tracks and trails. Outstanding air quality, crystal-clear water, pristine Alpine terrain – and all just around half an hour from Innsbruck. So if, after a fantastic day up in the mountains, you feel like a spot of shopping or would prefer to enjoy your “après-mountain” drink in the city, then all it takes is a 25-minute drive.
