Over 380 kilometres of hiking tracks and trails through the Tyrolean mountain landscape await lovers of the great outdoors. From gentle walking paths, to easy to moderate trails that lead to Alpine pastures and huts, to challenging summit hikes – the area offers a wide variety to suit every taste and ability.

Starting point for a particularly pleasant circular hike is the “Drei-Seen-Bahn” chairlift.  Operating during the summer months, it brings walkers and hikers up to lofty heights from where a high-altitude trail takes you, in just 20 minutes, to the Finstertaler reservoir. A further 60 minutes take you past the Plenderlesee lake and the Hirschebensee lake back to the starting point.
