Winter Holidays in Kühtai

From the hotel straight onto the slopes
Situated at an elevation of 2,020 metres, Kühtai is Austria’s highest winter sport resort (with the exception of the glaciers). You don’t have to worry about snow conditions here – immaculately groomed slopes are guaranteed from the beginning of December until well into the spring.
And the fun on the slopes starts right on your hotel doorstep.
The many faces of winter
For those who want to experience the unhurriedness and solitude of backcountry skiing to the full, the area offers a wide variety of tours. During a snowshoe hike, you can follow in the wake of intrepid trappers, while cross-country skiers will appreciate the superbly groomed and snow-guaranteed tracks.
And for the young and young at heart for whom Alpine or cross-country skiing is too “tame”, the k-park is the place to be, a snowpark with rails, kicker, corner and lots more besides. Awesome powder runs over cliffs and cornices offer snowboarders and freeskiers the ultimate kick. And park riders and jibbers get more than their money’s worth too!
And if you’re looking for something “out of the ordinary” as regards accommodation, then you need look no further than the Kühtai Igloo Village. Alongside “hot” nights in icy surroundings, you can also join in guided snowshoe hikes or gain a deeper insight into the art of igloo building.
