A truly relaxing holiday experience, away from the hustle and bustle! Nestled on a sunny plateau among the foothills overlooking the Inn valley and surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery lie the villages of Oberperfuss and Ranggen, with Unterperfuss just a stone’s throw away down in the valley beside the Inn river.

From Oberperfuss, an eight-seater cable car travels up to the Rangger Köpfl, a fabulous, family-friendly hiking and skiing area. A quite demanding mountainbike route that climbs up to 2,000m above sea level starts virtually at the village’s doorstep.

Ranggen is renowned for its wholesome approach, which includes sumptuous local specialties, a ruggedly picturesque contemplation trail and a variety of inviting hiking paths.

Located on the Inn valley cycle path and home to 207 inhabitants, Unterperfuss covers an area of just 2 km² - which makes it one of the smallest municipalities in the Tyrol. But, just like in the neighbouring villages, the people’s hearts are big and the hospitality is warm…

The reason that the area is so hugely popular with families is undoubtedly the Rangger Köpfl, with its glorious views and plenty of sports activities for grown-ups and little ones both in the summer months and in the winter.

All three localities score with their authentic rural charm and characteristics. This is reflected in farmhouses with their balconies ablaze with flowers, the crystal-clear water of the village fountains, the soothing, clean air. Traditional customs are also very much alive, and visitors are welcome to join the fun and celebrations.

And by the way: With a bustling city at their fingertips, nature lovers can have the best of both worlds: Depending on time and inclination, we recommend a little shopping, to be followed by an enjoyable evening at the cinema. Or to take a leisurely discovery tour of the town’s many cultural highlights. A mere 15 minutes drive away, Innsbruck is also easily reached by frequent public transport.
