The Patscherkofel was the venue for the Winter Olympics men’s downhill not once, but twice (1964 and 1976), and the slopes have, in the meantime, been spruced up to their former glory. The Olympia-Express chairlift and the Patscherkofelbahn cable-car whisk guests quickly and comfortably up to the ski area which includes a training centre, floodlighting for night-time skiing and a special kids’ area. Incidentally, children up to the age of ten, when accompanied by an adult with a day-pass, can use the lift facilities free of charge.

The champions of tomorrow can “find their feet” in the new Snow Park, an area specially for beginners, where they can rely on their own initiative or master the art of skiing in one of the special courses on offer.
