Fresh from the farm

The high quality of its agricultural products has earned Ranggen the reputation as a destination for lovers of authentic culinary delights. And the best place to savour them is right at the farms themselves. In the "Hofschank Gutleben" farm, for example, you can savour not only the breathtaking view, but also a glass of fresh apple juice or other fruit juice, or perhaps a schnapps or a glass of “Most”, a traditional fermented apple cider. Hearty platters with home-baked bread, “Speck” and “Hillkater” mountain cheese, as well as other home-produced treats and freshly baked cakes, are also on the menu. The “Hofschank Gutleben” is open from April until June and again from September until November.

Subject to the time of year, locals and visitors alike stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables, "Most" cider, fine schnapps, eggs, cheese and "Speck" at "Wöfls Hofladen" or in the farm shop run by the Gutleben family.
