Cycling - mountain high and valley low
Rum offers a wealth of tours and trails for all cycling enthusiasts. The mostly tarmaced Inn valley cycle path is perfect for those who enjoy combining gentle exercise with cultural attractions and culinary treats.
A few inclines have to be taken into account on a cycle tour through the MARTHA villages to Innsbruck or, in the opposite direction to Hall in Tirol – but with the wind in your hair and the stunning views of the rolling meadows and the Inntal Valley, it’s all worth the effort.
And, of course, there are numerous clearly-marked and well-maintained tracks and trails specially for mountain bikers. The medium-difficulty tour to the Rumer Alm mountain hut, for example, involves an ascent of around one hour, after which you can reward yourself for all your effort with a refreshment, and take in the beautiful view before whizzing back down to the valley.
