During the summer months, the Fotschertal valley, part of the municipality of Sellrain, is a popular area with hikers. A forest road leads through the 15 kilometre-long valley all the way to the Potsdamer Hütte mountain hut. The well-marked hiking trails take you along the edge of mountain streams, past grazing cattle and blossoming Alpine roses. The fresh, clear air, along with the stunning mountain views, make relaxing and unwinding a breeze.

Particularly rewarding hiking destinations include the Schaflegerkogel at an elevation of 2,405 metres, the Fotscher Windegg at 2,577 metres and the Roter Kogel at 2,836 metres. For those who want to aim really high, climbing tours up to the summits of the Hohe Villerspitze and Lüsenser Villerspitze take you to altitudes of over 3,000 metres.
