Opening Hours

With its famous premieres and debut performances, the westbahntheater in Innsbruck has enjoyed an outstanding reputation both in Tyrol and further afield for more than 15 years. The westbahntheater is a theatre like no other. It thrives in its own special niche in which it showcases modern and contemporary performances, giving young authors the opportunity to break free from constraints and embrace the stage in any way they want. More than 64 self-produced productions with 36 premieres and debut performances by creative minds such as Elmar Drexel, Paulo Coelho, Bernhard Aichner, Christoph W. Bauer, Clemens Aufderklamm and Händl Klaus and around 700 actors and actresses are prime examples of how the theatre has made a lasting impact and continues to do so in the present day.
