Here, where in the 15th century the “Thurm zu Vels” tower was built, now stands the local council building which houses the Thurnfels Muesum. The town’s open-air swimming pool and campsite offer fun and sunshine, and visitors can explore the surrounding area along the region’s many hiking trails and cycle paths, such as the Inn valley cycle path which is perfect for those who enjoy cultural-culinary excursions.

Right on the doorstep are also the family-friendly slopes of the Rangger Köpfl ski area where skiers and snowboarders can indulge their passion. Tobogganing and winter hiking enthusiasts are also well-catered for.

Just 300 metres from Völs, the Cyta shopping centre, with its wide spectrum of shops and services, adds the finishing touches to the town’s excellent infrastructure.
