A visit of the Innsbruck Nordkette offers a unique panorama. Once you get to the 300-meter high mountain station of Hungerburg Section I you can enjoy a new breathtaking view of the city of Innsbruck. The panorama is cloud-free over 350 days a year.
With Section II you can reach the 1905-meter high Seegrube. Once you get there you can enjoy a great panorama of the middle Inn Valley, the Stubai and Zill Valley Alps and of the Wipp Valley until the near Italian border.
In order to reach the highest view point, you must go to the next Section, to the 2256-meter high Hafelekar. The high populated Inn Valley on one side contrasts with the genuine wilderness of the Karwendel Alpine Park on the other side. The visual opposition between city and mountains makes the impressions collected unforgettable.
- you can hire yourself a deckchair and a blanket from the Seegrube sportrental centre and catch some rays in the peaceful, idyllic scenery high above Innsbruck.
