E-MTB tour to the Marienbergalm

The people of Obsteig speak of the "Marabarg" when referring to the Marienbergalm mountain hut. An old legend tells of Mara, the guardian of the chamois on the Marienberg mountain, and Georg, the hunter. The best way to hear this legend is to stop off at the Marienbergalm and hear it told by the people who run the hut.
The ride starts at Arzkasten car park and zigzags up a forest road to the Marienbergalm mountain hut, which is located at an altitude of 1,622 metres above sea level, not far below the Marienbergjoch ridge at 1,789 metres above sea level. From there, you get beautiful views over the towns of Biberwier, Lermoos and Ehrwald.
Please note: the route is very rough and gravelly in places.

Parking is available at Arzkasten car park (fees apply – a free parking ticket is available from the tourist information centres upon presentation of a Welcome Card).
