Cable cars

USING LIFTS

Here you’ll find information about the lifts and cable cars that allow you to travel with a bike. Bike transport is ideal for downhill fans or anyone who wants to get up high before starting a longer ride. Of course, you can also transport your bike back to the valley if you’re not keen on racing down the mountain on two wheels. It’s certainly a smoother, safer ride and you’re protected from the weather.

The Drei-Seen-Bahn in Kühtai for Bikers

Take your bike up to 2,420m above sea level to crystal-clear alpine lakes and breathtaking mountain scenery. Summer opening times: 23rd June to 23rd September 2018 from 09:00-16:30 There is a €2 charge for bike transportation.  

Oberperfuss Cable Cars for Bikers

Take the 8-seater gondola lift to the Stiglreith Panorama Restaurant, the perfect starting point for numerous bike tours and bike-and-hike adventures, and also recommended for a bike tour to Rosskogelhütte. From Stiglreith, you even have the possibility to take a short trip on the new 8-seater gondola lift to Sulzstich.   Lifts will not operate in poor weather conditions (rain, wind)    Summer season 2020 4 July - 06 September daily, no lift service on Mondays or Tuesdays Weekends: 30 May and 28 June and every Saturday and Sunday from 12 September to 26 October. Lifts open from 9 am - 4.30 pm No lift service in bad weather (rain, wind)

Elfer Lifts for Bikers

Bikers pay the normal price for use of the lifts, no extra charge for bike transport.  EinsEinserTrail: 4 km,  70%, S2 ZweiZweier Trail: 800 Hm, 3,5 km, S2 How to reach us:  By car: 25km or 25 minutes from Innsbruck to the Elferbahn in Neustift im Stubaital.  Public transport: Tram 3 from Innsbruck city centre to Fulpmes. From here, it's 10km down into the valley to the Elferbahn.  Further information from http://www.stubai.at/skigebiete/elferbahnen/aktivitaeten/downhill-enduro 

Innsbruck's Nordkette Cable Cars for Bikers

The Seegrube section of the Nordkettenbahnen lifts takes you to the top of the Nordkette Singletrail, which is the steepest of its kind in Europe. Passengers with bikes can take the Nordkettenbahnen lift from the Hungerburg to the Seegrube station. The next section of the lift that goes up to Hafelekar does not allow bike transport. Bikes may only be taken on lifts if they are in a clean condition. Access points: bike transport is possible from the lift station at Hungerburg, which is accessible from the city centre on the J bus or the Hungerburgbahn funicular. IVB bus line J to Hungerburg:  A maximum of 6 bikes (four on the rear bike rack, two inside the bus if sufficient space is available – wheelchair users and pushchairs have priority) Bikes must be clean and properly secured Full-face helmets must be removed Minimum age of 14 or accompanied by an adult Alert the driver if you intend to use the rear bike rack before loading (hand signal) No surcharge for bike transport Hungerburgbahn funicular Bikes are permitted at the following times: before 10 am and after 3 pm Maximum of 12 bikes per lift Full-face helmets must be removed 3,50€ surcharge for bike transport To the Bike City Card brochure

Muttereralmbahn for Bikers

A comfortable and modern gondola that provides access to the bike park and various mountain bike tours. The adventure mountain is the perfect starting point for a number of mountain bike tours that have varying degrees of difficulty and therefore offer something for everyone. Riders who are less physically fit can transport their bikes up the mountain in comfort on the Muttereralmbahn gondola. The Muttereralmbahn and Nockspitzbahn gondolas both provide access to Bikepark Innsbruck, which has four trails for beginners and advanced riders.
