Winter World Masters Games
Class knows no age. This is clearly demonstrated at the Winter World Masters Games, an international winter sports festival for over 30s. People of all ages can watch, of course, but participants have to be over 30 years old. Athletes come from all over the world to give it their all and a special feature of the event is that everyone is welcome to participate, from top professionals to ambitious amateurs. More than 3,000 people will take part and deliver top performances in twelve winter sports. From 10 to 19 January 2020.
A winter sports festival across seven different venues
This spectacular sports festival captures the Olympic spirit and provides lots of entertainment true to the motto "It's the taking part that counts". The entertainment extends well beyond the seven sports facilities in and around Innsbruck thanks to an exciting supporting programme. Thrilling sports action can be experienced at Olympia World Innsbruck and on the Patscherkofel, Innsbruck's Olympic winter sports mountain, while other exciting competitions are held in Telfs, Götzens, Seefeld and Kitzbühel. The Masters Village will be built on the central market square in Innsbruck and will be a meeting point for athletes and fans.
You will love the competitions!
The Winter World Masters Games includes twelve different sports. Classic thrills such as Alpine Skiing and Biathlon are joined by Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined. On the ice, athletes battle it out in Speed Skating, Figure Skating, Short Track, Curling and Ice Hockey, while endurance is put to the test in off-piste terrain with Ski Mountaineering, which is related to ski touring, and Ski Orienteering.
Come to Innsbruck and experience the tense sporting moments and exuberant joy of a major sporting event live!
