A summer hiking destination with plenty of mountain bike terrain and a great location in winter for skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking and touring. The village of Oberperfuss is located west of Innsbruck and offers a variety of activities throughout the year. The family ski resort of Bergbahnen Oberperfuss on Rangger Köpfl mountain is a popular destination for skiers. The resort also features a long toboggan run, which is open during the day and also illuminated and open for visitors twice a week in the evening.

Talking trees – a highlight for children

The Ghost Trail on Rangger Köpfl mountain is home to "tree beards" – talking trees with carved faces – that share exciting stories and puzzles at the touch of a button. As a reward, you can get a power stone or a magic stone from the bottom lift station.

The idyllic reservoir lake

The reservoir on Rangger Köpfl promises relaxation and refreshing fun by the water. To get there, take the two gondolas up to the Sulzstich lift station and then follow the gentle trail to the reservoir lake and back down to the bottom lift station. This is an easy route that is ideal for families with children.

Hiking on Rangger Köpfl mountain

Enjoy hikes along exceptionally scenic trails that lead up to mountain huts with wonderful views of the Kalkkögel mountain range, the Inn Valley and the city of Innsbruck. The delicious delicacies served at the mountain huts are, of course, part of the experience! Oberperfuss and Rangger Köpfl mountain also offer wonderful mountain bike tours.

Chapel walk through Oberperfuss

Oberperfuss is also known for its many chapels. It is home to over 20 chapels that you can discover on idyllic walks through the village. Plenty of cosy cafes and guesthouses are also located along the way for relaxing breaks and delicious refreshments.

Art and culture

Oberperfuss was home to the well-known cartographers Peter Anich and Blasius Hueber, who built their own surveying equipment and used it to create the first exact map of Tyrol: the Atlas Tyrolensis. The museum is dedicated to their work and also includes numerous sundials. Some of their other sundials can still be admired in the village and the surrounding area during your stay today.
