Accommodationdescription

The Westfalenhaus mountain hut can accommodate up to 55 guests in various guest rooms and dormitories. Overnight stays are only possible with a reservation. Don't forget your sleeping bag liner, it's required. Food and drink in summer and winter: à la carte (until 5 pm) and half board. Please note: if you will be arriving later, you must let us know in advance. Backpack transport: The cable car station for backpack transport is located on the “Winterweg” winter trail.

Please contact us at least 1 hour before you reach the station so we can send the cable car down. Fees apply for backpack transport (€ 5 per backpack, per journey).

Bus stop: in Praxmar Parking: in Lüsens and Praxmar - fees apply Quiet time at the hut starts without exception at 10 pm

Opening times and accessibility in summer: Mid-June to the end of September From Lüsens on the “Sommerweg” summer trail: 2 hours From Lüsens on the “Winterweg” winter trail: 2.5 hours From Praxmar on the “Sommerweg” summer trail: 3 hours From Praxmar on the “Höhenweg Köllenzeiger” high-altitude trail: 5.5 hours

Opening times and accessibility in winter: End of January to mid-April From Lüsens on the “Winterweg” winter trail: 2.5 hours WARNING: Please use the “Winterweg” winter trail only (without exception) because there is a high risk of avalanche on the summer trail throughout the entire ski touring season.
