It is then also valid as an entry ticket for seven additional top highlights in Tyrol – beyond the borders of the Innsbruck region. You can purchase the upgrade from tourist information centres in the region and at participating partners.

All of the services listed here are free of charge for Welcome Card holders – with the exception of Welcome Card unlimited services (="Additional services, paid upgrade").
Thanks to the excellent public transport network, you can easily get to the start of many tours and leisure activities by bus, tram or train. Even better: use of public transport is free with the Welcome Card. Better still: with the digital Welcome Card, the card is always on hand on your mobile phone and you can even use it to travel to your accommodation on public transport routes in the region on the day you arrive. If you are travelling by car, the Welcome Card includes a free parking ticket for the hikers' car parks in the mountaineering village of St. Sigmund im Sellrain and the Arzkasten hikers' car park in Obsteig. If you prefer to travel from A to B under your own steam, you can use the Welcome Card to rent an e-bike for a great price from selected rental partners and then enjoy biking around the Innsbruck region with a little motorised assistance.

All of the routes within the Innsbruck region that are operated by the VVT (Verkehrsverbund Tirol) and the IVB (Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe)*, as well as regional trains operated by the ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways), are included. Travel is not included to the services outside of the Innsbruck region that are added with the upgrade to the Welcome Card unlimited. It is possible to get the Welcome Card before your holiday. To do this, you need to contact your accommodation provider in advance. The card is valid on both your day of arrival and your day of departure. Unless a limited number of uses is specified for a service, the service can be used multiple times. Please take note of the usage restrictions in the detailed descriptions.
You can get the free Welcome Card directly from your accommodation provider. A list of partner companies can be found here. The Welcome Card is linked to the guest registration process at your accommodation. Innsbruck Tourismus (the Innsbruck Tourist Board) created the "Welcome Card" and the "Welcome Card plus" as a service available to every accommodation provider in the region. It is the accommodation provider's decision whether to offer this service to guests or not and Innsbruck Tourismus cannot require them to do so. With a stay of 3 or more nights at a partner company, you will automatically receive the free Welcome Card plus from your accommodation provider. The Welcome Card and the Welcome Card plus are not available for purchase. The cards cannot be issued at tourist information centres.
The Welcome Card unlimited can be purchased as a paid upgrade. The card can only be purchased by holders of a valid Welcome Card / Welcome Card plus. This means you must have a Welcome Card or a Welcome Card plus in order to buy a Welcome Card unlimited. As a result, you also have access to the services offered by the Welcome Card / Welcome Card plus. Upon purchase of a Welcome Card unlimited, the cards are exchanged. All previously used services are transferred to the Welcome Card unlimited and cannot be used again, with the exception of services that do not have a usage limit. The card can be purchased from tourist information centres or from selected partner companies.
