At the moment, our weather can be described in clichés. We will once again experience a perfect autumn day which could not be more typical:
A fresh morning with fog along the rivers, colourful forests shining in the sunlight during the day and an early dusk.
Until Sunday, we will only see little change. Monday will once again be sunny with just a few clouds moving in towards evening. These clouds are the first harbinger of a weather front which will pass over our region on Tuesday with thicker clouds and showers.
Bowling and skittles in Innsbruck and its holiday villages
The traditional sport of skittles is still alive in Tyrol. In the past, no festival was complete without a round, and the sport still survives in its traditional form as well as in the newer form of bowling. The main differences between the Austrian and American versions is that skittle alleys can be found in pubs and even outdoors, and there are only nine pins to bowl over. Bowling usually takes place in purpose-built alleys and large bowls are used to knock over the ten pins. Innsbruck and its holiday villages offer a number of possibilities for both variations, and our map will show you where all the bowling and skittle alleys are. If we've caught your interest, try out one of the many village festivals that take place in the summer months.
