Forecast

For once, we cannot announce fantastic weather! It will however still be reasonable on Tuesday. A cold front will send us a few bands of clouds. This front is already weakening, however, and will not bring us any snowfall.

Tendency

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will also bring calm weather: The current balance between sunshine and clouds will shift slightly in favour of the clouds. Apart from this, the weather will stay the same.

Free ski bus

Description

Comfortable and free of charge

You don’t need a car during a winter holiday in Innsbruck and its holiday villages, even if you want to ski. A free ski bus runs to all of the surrounding ski resorts every day. There’s nothing to arrange – all you need is a Welcome Card, which you’ll receive automatically and at no extra cost from your accommodation provider.

The next ski bus service is from 8 December 2018 until 7 April 2019.
Free skibus: www.innsbruck.info/pdf/skibus_EN.pdf

Special bus service available for groups of over 35 people, reservation required by 6 pm on the day before.

Innsbruck's J bus line is free for skiers and snowboarders during the skiing season, and crosses through the city connecting the ski resorts of Patscherkofel and the Nordkette.

To travel for free, passengers just have to ensure that they look like skiers or snowboarders, meaning that if you have your skis or snowboard with you, and are wearing the necessary clothing for winter sports, you'll travel for free. Of course, this rule doesn't just apply on the J bus, but on all of the city's bus routes.

If you choose to leave your equipment at the ski resort, you'll need to bring your receipt. To travel back to the resort, simply show your lift card for the day.

Attention: this offer is only valid during the ski season, and as long as the resorts are open for winter sports.
