From the centre of Igls, head south along Bilgeristrasse road, continue on Heiligwasserweg, cross the road and then continue past the Schwellerkapelle chapel and the bottom lift station of the Patscherkofelbahn gondola up to Heiligwasser (1,238 m).
The route back leads past the Heiligwasser pilgrimage church towards Patsch and then turns off to the right to pass Hotel Grünwalderhof before following the Rosengartenweg and the Gletscherblickweg back to Igls.
