This route starts from the car park in Praxmar and immediately turns right to head south up a trail signposted towards the Westfalenhaus. The route later crosses the Schöntal valley above Lüsens and meets trail no. 141 coming up from Lüsens. The wide trail turns to take hikers west into the Längen Valley and reaches the Westfalenhaus mountain hut after about three hours. From there, it is possible to hike back along the winter hiking trail that leads along the valley floor to Lüsens before joining the forest road back to Praxmar.
