Baggersee
This hike starts in the village of Rum and leads along Bahnhofstraße road and under the railway lines to the Rumer Hof Hotel and Restaurant. From there, you walk right to the end of Serlesstraße road, passing plenty of shops and the architecturally-interesting Parish Church of Neu-Rum along the way. You then turn left onto Kugelfangweg, which leads directly to the River Inn. On your right, you'll see the Olympic Village (Olympisches Dorf), which is where the Olympic athletes lived during the Games in 1964 and 1976. To the right of the Innsteg bridge, there is an indoor swimming pool and sauna. Just across the river on the southern bank, you'll come to one of Innsbruck's favourite swimming spots, Baggersee lake. If you would rather remain dry, you can enjoy a nice walk along the path by the River Inn.
