From the car park at the Bergheim alpine guesthouse, follow the forest road and then later the alpine trail to the Potsdamer Hütte mountain hut. From there, the hike continues to Kastengrat ridge and along Wiedersberg mountain to Roter Kogel mountain. Finally, the route leads back down the west side of the mountain, past the Aflinger Alm mountain hut to Praxmar.
