Opening Hours

This pretty chapel is located on the hillside on the right-hand side of the road leading out of the village centre towards Obere Gasse, in the area known as Berchtesgaden. Berchtesgadner Chapel was consecrated on 27 August 1993. It was independently constructed by the residents of Berchtesgaden based on plans drawn up by Franz Haider. The ceiling painting and the panels depicting the Fourteen Holy Helpers were created by the painter Dagmar Ballogh. The statue of the Virgin Mary was donated to the church by the Ursuline Convent in Innsbruck. A new bell that was donated to the chapel was consecrated together with the building.
