Forecast

After a heatwave with a thundery end, we are facing a period of rather unspectacular weather now. The cooler maritime air will stay under the influence of weak high pressure and will bring us a stable mix of sunshine and cloud interrupted by scattered short showers. It will be rather windy at times.

Tendency

The next few days will not bring any significant changes in the weather.

tangOtoño – Tango Festival Innsbruck

Couples stride gracefully across the floor to the sounds of Argentinian music. Music that has conquered the hearts of romantics and dance aficionados around the world. And this is true in Innsbruck too, where tango enthusiasts even throw a festival for their favourite dance. Over several days in October, tango fans can enjoy workshops, courses and seminars. International tango pros spread their knowledge and a guest of honour from the tango scene visits the festival to share insider tips. Would you like to dance too? Amateurs with prior experience are welcome.

No chaos on the dance floor

Tango festival organisers want to ensure that dancing remains a pleasure. This includes having sufficient space on the dancefloor during courses. Participant numbers are limited in Innsbruck to avoid overcrowded halls and ensure you have plenty of space to practice those newly learned steps and moves – without knocking elbows with fellow dancers.

Courses, workshops & seminars

The tango workshops are designed for intermediate and advanced dancers. Intermediate means: You’ve got the hang of the basics. You can already perform simple rotations and successfully maintain your axis, at least sometimes. Does this apply to you? Then the intermediate courses are perfect for you.

Who belongs in the advanced group? Dancers with good balance and technique in both open and close embrace. If you have been dancing tango for years and are familiar with different elements, such as Ganchos, Sacadas and Volcadas, then the advanced courses are right for you.
