Freeride Film Festival Tour 2016
Freeride adventure all over the world
In November it's time once again for the Freeride Film Festival! A tour bus, carrying those freeriders who can be seen in the films, will be stopping outside the Congress in Innsbruck to celebrate the première on 5 November before continuing on through Germany and Poland.
What makes the tour really special is that the films' athletes are live on stage at each tour stop ensuring the ultimate freeride festival feeling! Joining the athletes on tour are also representatives of the film destinations and of the equipment suppliers who are supporting the tour and who will be presenting their freeride hotspots and selected sports articles.
For the elite of the freeride scene, the mountains of the world have become their home. Exotic, out-of-the-way places, where few or even no people have ever freeridden, are the preferred terrain of the athletes and film-makers, this time the island 'Onekotan' in the Pacific Ring of Fire and the mountains of Albania, Iceland and Hawaii. And, as they travel, the athletes meet other freeriders who practice their sport in places you would never expect - Iran, for example. While the focus, of course, is on adventure and film-making, many friendships were made along the way, friendships that transcend boundaries of country, culture and continent.
