Forecast

Weak weather fronts with thundery air masses are approaching from France. Our area of high pressure will not be able to keep them away completely and this is why clouds will form on Wednesday after a bright morning and produce showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Tendency

Frequent showers will bring a temporary drop in temperature tomorrow. On Friday the weather will improve again and on Saturday we will see a return to sunshine and pleasantly warm temperatures.

Raiffeisen Club - Downhill Cup Innsbruck 2017

A test of endurance for mountain bikers in two locations: the Nordkette Single Track and Muttereralmpark are the settings for two downhill races. The two sports events with the title of Innsbruck Downhill Cup are open to both professionals and amateurs - the perfect opportunity for hobby bikers to demonstrate their capabilities. The real challenge, though, is to attempt the Nordkette Single Track, Europe's most difficult single trail.

Dates:
19 and 20 August Bikepark Innsbruck
2 and 3 September Nordkette Dowhnhilltrail
7 and 8 october Bikepark Innsbruck

Nordkette Single Track and Muttereralmpark

Muttereralmpark is a true family free-time paradise in the holiday villages west of Innsbruck, with beginners' trails and practice routes for mountain bikers and downhill fans, it's ideal for the first single track attempt. The Nordkette, however, is much more demanding, requiring extreme effort even from seasoned riders, and stretches from the 2000m-high Seegrube down to the Hungerburg. Steep slopes and difficult terrain ensure that this track is the ultimate challenge. It may not be for beginners, but provides plenty of fun for the experts!
