Unlike the performances of the German World Cup skiers, our weather is only mediocre at the moment! Weak high pressure areas are alternating with weak low pressure areas! Today, it is the highs turn! It will have difficulty, however, in dissipating the cloudy remnants of yesterdays weather front. It will just snow at times. But in the second half of the day we will see prolonged sunny spells.
Sunday will mark the end of the precipitation giving way to a few nice and extremely cold days.
Cafés in Innsbruck: for writers, readers and connoisseurs
Innsbruck's coffee houses
We love our coffee houses - our living rooms when we're out and about. There for drinking coffee, reading the newspaper, relaxing and chatting. The coffee house is an institution and, moreover, beautiful to look at. The decor often reminds one of Vienna during imperial times, with crystal chandeliers, panelled walls and Thonet chairs defining the ambience. Modern cafés are also popular meeting places but, wherever you are, don't forget to look in the glass cabinets, because that's where you will find the wonderful daily selection of cakes and desserts.
The most beautiful coffee houses
Where to go in Innsbruck? For coffee, try the Munding, Katzung andSacher cafés. Off the tourist trail, the cafés in theArkadenhof andHaepinestare waiting for you. The highlights, though, are Crema cofe & delights and the Café Central, just a minute's walk from Maria-Theresien-Straße, where you can enjoy a Turkish coffee in a picture-book imperial ambience. During the summer months, the outdoor terrace is particularly inviting and allows you to see Innsbruck's most beautiful sides at a glance. Cast a gaze over the Sparkassenplatz where, on Fridays, you can observe the hustle and bustle of the farmers' market. Enjoy the beauty of the old school nearby, the modernity of the BTV bank, or the green facade of the building opposite for that park feeling. Modern and historical architecture next to each other - a view to sweeten your coffee break.
