Forecast

A strong low pressure area is situated over the Bay of Biscay at the moment. It will slowly extend to the Alps, but will not reach us before tomorrow. With warm air from the Sahara moving in at the front of the system, foehn winds will pick up. We will therefore see a dry mix of sunshine and clouds with relatively high temperatures for the season.

Tendency

On Tuesday a cold front will bring cooler air to our region. It will mostly be cloudy with locally heavy precipitation. Wednesday will mark the end of the snowfall.

Bike City Innsbruck

Mountain biking and cycling in Innsbruck and the surrounding region

Cycling in the region: Innsbruck and its holiday villages offer a wide spectrum of different cycling routes and mountain bike tours suitable for families, sports enthusiasts and leisurely cyclists. Ambitious mountain biking fans can tackle challenging tracks in Alpine terrain, while those who prefer to take it easy can enjoy flat routes such as the ‘Genuss.Radweg’ culinary cycle tour. And you don’t have to take your own bike with you – many local outlets offer rental bikes. E-bikes are also available, enabling ‘athletically challenged’ holidaymakers to conquer a hill or two as well! City bikes are available for rental in Innsbruck – perfect for exploring the Capital of the Alps and its surroundings without any arduously long walks.

Long-distance cycling route – Munich to Venice

Do you fancy trying a really long cycling tour? We can suggest a truly scenic route – the Munich to Venice long-distance cycling route takes you from the capital of Bavaria through Tyrol, over the Brenner Pass and the Dolomites, all the way to the lagoon city of Venice on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. The route is divided into five stages, which you can extend as you like. On the cycle route website you can find numerous suggestions for side trips – both long and short – to areas of stunning natural beauty, sights and attractions.
