This month is making an extraordinary effort to defend its reputation as the merry month of May! The weather will once again remain sunny and dry.
Strong areas of high pressure like the current one are very stable; this one will remain with us for several days. There will only be light cloud and the weather will stay dry with temperatures that continue to rise.
Swimming and relaxing in Innsbruck and its regions
The bathing lakes and open-air pools in Innsbruck and its holiday villages invite you to enjoy the summer. The Rossau bathing lake, known locally as 'Baggersee', offers plenty of space for splashing around and bathing. The open-air pools at Tivoli and the Olympic Village are easily accessible by public transport, and in the western holiday villages, Natterer See (Lake Natters) is a gem to behold. Here, free children's activities keep our smaller guests occupied and allow the parents some time to themselves. There are further swimming facilities in the leisure centre in Axams, the open-air pool in Völs and at Lanser See (Lake Lans).
