Ski resort extras
See who’s the fastest on the speed course and track how many vertical meters you’ve covered using your lift pass – simply enter your pass into the Skiline machine at the end of the day and it will print out details for you. Schlick 2000 also hosts the “Night of Colours” on selected dates, a spectacular event that includes demonstrations, artistic ski jumps and an impressive light and fire show. Night tobogganing is another evening highlight: available every Wednesday, lift in operation from 7.30 pm to 9 pm.
Food and drink on the mountain
The mountain huts at Schlick 2000 are a great place to take a short break, enjoy a long lunch or simply relax and soak up the sun. The Sennjochhütte is located 2,200 metres above sea level at the top of the four-man chairlift and pampers guests with homemade food in a rustic setting. Another great place for a cosy break is the Schlickeralm at the bottom of the same lift. At the top of the Kreuzjoch gondola, Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch rewards sports enthusiasts with hearty dumplings, spareribs and roast chicken. The ice bar on the same sunny plateau is also a great place to relax. For ultimate charm, visit the family-run Fronebenalm on the valley run. This mountain hut is also open during night tobogganing. Swing by and sample the excellent local home cooking.
