We quickly get used to such nice weather: plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures, good visibility on the mountains and no risk of showers or thunderstorms for hiking!

Today will not bring any changes. Apart from a few harmless cloud patches, the weather will be sunny all day long. Temperatures will remain mild.

The next days will be average. There will be variable amounts of clouds, but only a few showers and sunshine at times.

Skiing Area Kühtai

Kühtai: ski resort at 2,000 metres
The Sellrain Valley is home to the village of Kühtai – a true winter paradise nestled amongst high alpine scenery and surrounded by fantastic ski slopes. Innsbruck is just a 45 minute drive away but it feels like a different world – a place where nothing disturbs the winter idyll. Lifts include one gondola and five chairlifts, as well as five drag lifts and a magic carpet for beginners. A special feature of Kühtai: you can basically roll right out of bed and onto the pistes. There’s no need to travel or lug ski equipment in and out of the car – the slopes are literally right on your doorstep.

Natural snow in the Sellrain Valley
Ski holidays in Kühtai are delightfully varied thanks to the 41 km of great slopes. The village is located 2,020 metres above sea level and the high altitude means that the 6 km of easy, 7 km of difficult and 26 km of intermediate slopes are almost always covered with natural snow. The majority of pistes also have snowmaking facilities if required.

Snowboarding and night skiing
Kühtai is also a paradise for snowboarders: the K-Park includes rails, kickers, corners and jibs. And the snowboarding fun even continues after dark on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, when both boarders and skiers can enjoy night skiing on three kilometres of floodlit slopes.

Food & drink on the mountain
Soak up the sun, relax and enjoy – rustic mountain huts, hotel terraces and local bars are all part of skiing in Kühtai. Visit Graf Ferdinandhaus to enjoy homemade Tyrolean delicacies with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains – and afterwards enjoy sledding fun on the neighbouring toboggan run. Hütte zum Kaiser Maximilian, known as Kaiser Max Hütte for short, is a mountain hut and popular meeting point with incredible panoramic views matched only by those from the Drei Seen Hütte. Catch a few rays during your lunch break and treat yourself to classic ski hut delights, such as Germknödel (a sweet dumpling filled with plum jam) or apple strudel. The Dorfstadl in the village of Kühtai is a rustic setting with great food and a fantastic atmosphere.
