Today will again be very mild for the season. It is uncertain, however, if the weather will remain dry. The foehn winds, which are responsible for these warm temperatures, will weaken during the day and die away completely between midday and the evening. As a consequence, dense cloud will develop and produce showers.
From Sunday, we will be under the influence of high pressure and the air arriving here with east winds will become drier. However, it will take a while until it will extend its influence. Clearer spells will therefore only increase gradually, but it will be dry.
This route starts at the Hungerburgbahn car park and heads north underneath the cable car before joining the forest road. Take a quick right turn after following the road for a short way, then along the piste and up to 1,340m above sea level. Cross the forest road again, then take a steep climb for another 200m. At the end of the scarp, continue eastwards to the avalanche wall. The route carries on east to the Seegrube hut.
