From easy to expert – the Stubai Glacier has something for everyone. The 34 slopes offer great variety, including a comfort piste for the 50-plus generation and families and the “Daunhill” run with a gradient of up to 60%. The Big Family Fun Slope delivers just what it promises – fun for the whole family. The Kinderland and Miniland children’s areas and a kindergarten at the summit station also help keep kids busy and the dedicated children’s restaurant offers child-friendly delights. Another plus for families: children under the age of ten ski for free when accompanied by a paying adult. One particularly “cool” attraction is the 200-metre-long ice cave, which is make entirely of ice and dramatically staged with captivating lighting.
Powder Department on the Stubai Glacier
Glide through the finest powder on 15 freeride runs. Another handy feature for freeskiers and boarders: checkpoints and an avalanche transceiver training facility that provide current information about the various routes. The Stubai Zoo snow park also guarantees fun in the snow. The park is maintained daily, provides a perfect freestyle experience for boarders and even attracts professionals.
Food and drink on the mountain
Enjoy breathtaking views and delicious cuisine at the highest restaurant to have been awarded a Gault Millau toque in the Alps: the Schaufelspitz at 3,000 metres. Restaurant Eisgrat serves fresh pasta dishes produced in-house and the slopes are also home to many more mountain huts, restaurants and snack bars for your dining pleasure.
