Forecast

A large area of high pressure is dominating Central European weather at the moment and gets us in the autumn mood. Tuesday will start with a few fog patches clearing away. The day will end with a romantic sunset! The morning will still be fresh, but the mercury will reach pleasant values.

Tendency

The next few days will hardly bring any changes. High pressure will persist and if there will be some clouds in the sky they will only be harmless ones.

The Iglu-Village Kühtai

Igloo village at Kühtai offers a different kind of winter holiday

At Kühtai, Austria’s highest ski resort located at 2,020 metres above sea level, also this winter fourteen igloos are waiting to accommodate adventure seekers and romantics from mid December until the end of April. Based at your own little ‘ice castle’ you can take moonlit snowshoe hikes or hands-on lessons in igloo construction. And, of course, the slopes are right at your doorstep.

You will enjoy every bit of it: you get accommodation in an igloo that sleeps four people, an insulated mattress covered with soft sheepskin rugs, and a thermal sleeping bag. You will be made welcome with an extensive tour of the igloo village and a schnapps. Also included is dinner in the cosy dining area and a copious breakfast.

At the igloo village you are guaranteed a truly unique holiday adventure, rounded off by the Kühtai’s wealth of sports amenities. Thanks to the high altitude there is no need for a car, since you can comfortably reach the slopes on foot. Getting to the igloo village is made easy too: just drive there, enjoy, chill and have fun.
