Low pressure has spread over Europe; in addition to that, cold, humid air is moving into our region! As this humid air is arriving from the north, it is building up here on the north side of the Alps. The weather conditions will therefore be unstable on Saturday: We will see heavy cloud with occasional snowfall.

The next few days will not bring any significant changes in the weather. Humid, cool air masses will keep pushing into our region from the north. Thick clouds will produce snowfall.

Oberperfuss-Rangger Köpfl cable cars

Unique and pleasurable - that's the 2000-metre high Rangger Köpfl near Oberperfuss. The family-friendly ski area with the fantastic view is only twelve kilometres from Innsbruck. A modern cable car transports winter sport enthusiasts directly from Oberperfuss to the ski area, while three ski lifts make the snowscape accessible. In addition, there are two ski schools, a practice lift and a magic carpet available for beginners.

Rangger Köpfl is ideal for families, as the 18 optimally-prepared kilometres of piste are composed of light and intermediate runs, and children can get their first hands-on alpine experiences in the Kids' Park. The floodlights are switched on every Tuesday and Friday between 18:30 and 21:30, providing a wonderful atmosphere for night-skiing and tobogganing.

Tobogganing, winter walks and snowboarding
Rangger Köpfl is an ideal tobogganing area through the day, with a run measuring almost ten kilometres in length, and largely illuminated in the evenings. Is the walk to the top too far? Then relax for the first six kilometres by taking the 8-seater cable car to the mountain station. From here, you can either sledge down into the valley or climb further by following the 'Geisterwanderweg' to the top. After roughly 40 minutes, you'll reach the Sulzstich restaurant and the nearby reservoir. Another 40 minutes will take you to the quaint Rosskogel cabin, the highest starting point for tobogganing, and particularly fun for longer runs.

Winter walking and snowboarding
Enjoy the snow-covered winter landscape on Rangger Köpfl on foot, too. Strap on your snowshoes and tramp through the deep snow, while snowboarders can enjoy themselves in our fun park. A snow-making system ensures guaranteed snow.

Food and drink on the mountain
Enjoy fantastic Tyrolean delicacies in a friendly, communal atmosphere at the quaint Rosskogel cabin, 1900m above sea level, accompanied by a wonderful view from the idyllic terrace. The Sulzstich restaurant offers a cosy atmosphere with a buffet providing home-style cooking, and you can enjoy the delicious food and glorious views of Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains in the Stiglreith panorama restaurant. Just breathe deeply, relax and replenish yourself!
